<個展のお知らせ> TORINOKI FURNITURE solo ex <個展のお知らせ> TORINOKI FURNITURE solo exhibition " Age of tree " 2026.3.13 (Fri) – 3.15 (Sun) 11:00 – 19:00 COLONY MINAMI AOYAMA (東京都港区南青山6-3-7) @colony_minami_aoyama_official 木は、何百年もそこに立ち続けてきた存在です。 風を受け、雨を受け、雪を受け 時には雷に打たれながらも、 ただ生き続けてきました。 幹に残る傷や歪みは、 欠点ではなく、その木が生きてきた時間の痕跡です。 TORINOKI FURNITUREは、 そうした木の“時間”をそのまま受け取り、 一枚板という形で暮らしの中へと届けています。 木には、それぞれの個性があります。 育った場所も、環境も、歩んできた時間も違う。 人と同じように、 一本一本の木が、それぞれの存在を持っています。 本展では、 樹齢1500年の屋久杉、 雷に幾度も打たれながら生き延びた杉、 神社の境内で長い時間を過ごした木、神秘の名木・黒柿など、数百年から千年を超える木々による一枚板を展示します。 ただ長い時間を生きてきたもの。 ただそこに立ち続けてきたもの。 その存在に触れたとき、 私たちの時間の感じ方も、 少し変わるかもしれません。 ---- TORINOKI FURNITURE solo exhibition Age of tree 2026.3.13 (Fri) – 3.15 (Sun) 11:00 – 19:00 COLONY MINAMI AOYAMA Trees are beings that have stood in one place for hundreds of years. They have endured wind and rain, and at times even lightning, yet they simply continued to live. The scars and distortions left in their trunks are not flaws, but traces of the time each tree has lived. TORINOKI FURNITURE receives that “time” held within the wood and brings it into everyday life as single-slab furniture. Every tree has its own individuality. Each one has grown in a different place, under different conditions, through a different passage of time. Just like people, every tree carries its own presence. In this exhibition, single slabs made from trees that have lived for hundreds, and even over a thousand years will be presented. Including a 1500-year-old Yakusugi cedar, a cedar that survived being struck by lightning multiple times, and the mysterious rare wood Kurogaki. Things that have simply lived for a very long time. Things that have simply continued to stand there. When we encounter such presence, our sense of time may begin to change.

Cut directly from a tree that has grown through decades. Its natural scars and the marks of time remain just as they are. Insert incense into the brass holder, and as the smoke rises, a small landscape quietly appears. Even the falling ash becomes a trace of time. Though small, it is a true, one-of-a-kind solid slab. The tabletop was cut directly from a log and placed on solid block legs, just as it is. In a space softened by fabric and gentle textures, this level of primitive presence feels just right.
